Family Shabbat Programs
Tot Shabbat
Join us for a very short service (geared specifically for children through age 6), dinner, and community. Tot Shabbat is typically on the second Friday of the month.
Family Shabbat
A service geared for families with school aged children, led by our clergy. Family Shabbat is typically the third Friday of the month, September to May.
Junior Shabbat
A service just for kids in grades K – 6. While parents peacefully enjoy the traditional adult service, kids join a separate “just right” junior service experience. The service includes baking a small Shabbat challah to take home each week, learning to pray (the interactive way), blessings, Torah stories, crafts, and more.
Minyan
A Shabbat morning gathering, primarily (but not exclusively) for young families with children. We meet every Saturday morning on the CBB campus (specific location varies due to construction) and end with lunch at noon. Kids play and join the service for a children’s story. Parents keep an eye on their kids, but also sing, pray, and learn together in an informal, short but deep hour of communal worship. Leadership roles (davening, chanting Torah, leading discussion) are shared by the members.
