About Me:

I'm the first Sabra in my family, who immigrated from Russia in 1990. My Mom is a kindergarten teacher and my dad is a salesman in the wood industry- their story is the story of another million Russian Jews who immigrated during these years.  My older brother, 26, is a manager in an Internet marketing company.

My majors were history and biology, and I conducted an academic biblical research project regarding the Rules of War, which was honored by "Bar Iilan University" and by the "company for the research of the bible".

I took part in several delegations, including one to the Jewish high school, The Rashi School in Boston, and one to an Amnesty International convention in London, where I represented Israel. In addition, I met hundreds of guests from all around the world, including ministers, religious leaders, teachers and students, as a member of the international relations department in Leo Baeck Education Center.

My interest in medicine drove me to volunteer for 3 years in Magen David Adom (MDA), the Israeli medical 911 emergency services, and to initiate the first program for health education in High Schools in Israel- "L'briut" (Be Healthy).

Following that program, I was awarded several prizes, including the "Ramon Award for Quality, Leadership and Excellence" in the name of the first Israeli Astronaut, Ilan Ramon, and his son, Asaf Ramon. This prize is considered by some to be the highest honor for youth in Israel. Given the opportunity, it will be my honor to present the program to anyone interested and to share its principals of leadership, communal responsibility and healthy life style, during my stay.

Several other prizes given to me include: a member of honor of the "Round Table" organization, the Leo Baeck Award, and the Minister of Education prize for volunteers- Haifa district.

My hobbies include writing (I twice won the third prize of the "Name Your Hero" competition in Tel Aviv University), debating (Judge in the "World Scholar Cup- Israeli Tour", Debater in a showcase debate held in the Knesset for its birthday) and general interest in history, diplomacy and politics.

I truly believe in the power of one, and in the greater power of a few, and therefore I'm excited to get to know you better, as individuals, and as a community.
