Learn & Connect

  • Run for Their Lives – Every Sunday at 4 PM at Shoreline Park. Join the Santa Barbara chapter of this global run/walk event that calls for the immediate release of hostages held by Hamas in Gaza. Every Sunday at 4 PM at Shoreline Park, by the Freedom Trail (east side) we read the names of the hostages and walk together for 18 minutes singing Hatikvah and other songs. Please join us for a discussion with CBB’s own legal expert, Steve Zipperstein, who will explore the major recent Israeli Supreme Court landmark ruling striking down a key provision of the Netanyahu government’s judicial reform initiative. Steve will discuss the issues in the case; why the Court ruled the way it did; and the short- and long-term consequences of the ruling. In addition, he’ll also look at the recent genocide allegations filed by South Africa against Israel at the International Court of Justice.
