Israel at War: New Daycare Opens at the Leo Baeck Education Center
As I’ve already told some of you, last week the Leo Baeck Education Center opened a daycare for children whose parents are in the security forces, reserve army, police, or other essential services. Here in Israel, schools and pre-schools have not reopened since Simchat Torah.
This daycare is the brainchild and organized by Rabbi Oshrat, Dana Cohen from our Community Center, and Yafit Markovitz, the Coordinator of all our preschools.
The activities are led by volunteer teachers, parents and high school students. The activities take place simultaneously and the children participate in what they want, when they want.
Thank you to all of you for the all the emails, video from your teens, and Whatsapp messages of support.
I try to drop by the daycare almost every day – to drop off arts and crafts supplies, books or games. It makes my day!
Here is a gallery of photos I took earlier today.
I wanted to share with you some photos from today.
