This fall we held in a blanket drive and donated 200 blankets to Casa Esperanza in advance of their winter shelter opening for the homeless men and women in our community. If you are interested in organizing any kind of donation drive, please contact rabbistone@cbbsb.org.
CBB members donated their time and brawn to help build a new affordable housing development on Canon Perdido. The new development had its grand opening on November 18th, but there are always on-going ways to support our local Habitat for Humanity chapter. If you are interested in more information, please contact Rose Cohen.
Young adults members of CBB (ages 22-39) are meeting monthly with other young adults from the Islamic Society of Santa Barbara and Trinity Episcopal Church to talk about religion, culture, belief, practice and faith. Transition House is an amazing organization dedicated to addressing family homelessness. Since 1984, it has helped families end their reliance on public assistance by providing family-centered support services.
